British Columbia steelhead river cutting through coastal rainforest

Canada

British Columbia & Newfoundland, Canada

Overview

About This Destination

Canada's breadth of fly fishing opportunities is almost incomprehensible. In British Columbia, the Skeena watershed — the Dean, Babine, and Bulkley rivers — represents the gold standard of Pacific steelhead fishing, with wild B-run fish up to 20+ lbs that have rarely seen a fly. In Newfoundland, Atlantic salmon return to rivers that flow from the ancient Appalachian highlands, offering a different kind of big fish experience on the historic salmon grounds of eastern Canada.

Pacific Northwest coastal rainforest (BC), boreal forest and tundra (northern BC/Yukon), and the ancient, glacier-polished granite of the Newfoundland interior.
