Wyoming
Snake River, Green River & South Fork
About This Destination
Wyoming's Snake River is one of the most iconic float fishing rivers in North America — a wide, braided system flowing beneath the jagged peaks of the Teton Range, loaded with aggressive Snake River fine-spotted cutthroat trout that rise with abandon to dry flies. Below Jackson, the river enters a dramatic canyon before joining the South Fork in Idaho. Combined with the Green River tailwater near Pinedale and the intimate freestone streams of the Wind Rivers, Wyoming delivers fly fishing that earns its legendary status.
Grand Teton and Wind River Range scenery, braided river channels, cottonwood forest, high-altitude sagebrush flats, and the wide Wyoming sky that defines everything.
